Jon Karl reported that the 1/6 committee is getting a lot of cooperation from witnesses close to Trump, possibly without his knowledge.

Karl said on MSNBC’s The 11th Hour:

The committee does not count Bannon loses this case and then suddenly decides he’ll do it come and testify. This is about sending a message to the others, whether or not not they should testify. So would the trial in July was better for the committee got it in April, but it’s not a real blow for them. He’s still being charged.

He’s still facing jail time, and they get a lot Collaboration, brian, from Witnesses, witnesses too very close to Donald Trump, Witness to this day, very much friendly and cooperative with THull. I don’t know exactly what Trump actually knows about the collaboration of some of these Guys, but we know them high profile names that we know who were summoned. There are many others who are quietly cooperate with the Committee.

Much of Trump’s presidency was run behind his back, so Karl’s coverage is unsurprising.

The committee is likely to get help from those close to Trump because they are out to save their own necks.

For a man who demanded loyalty from everyone around him, Donald Trump got very little from many who are close to him. The old adage that there is no honor among thieves is especially true when it comes to Trump and his criminal ring disguised as a political party.
