Rep. Swalwell said in MSNBC’s The Last Word:

It’s hard to see Jennifer Gosar, to be honest, to see any family Member loses a brother. I mean these are people who grew up with them Parents, lived in the same house and she condemns her brother on national television. I don’t take this lightly. Her brother was radicalized by Donald Trump. He was never convicted by Kevin McCarthy and he was unleashed at the congress and you know Lawrence, you could be right Say why do we care what Paul is up to? – Paul Gosar puts that. at Internet? There are weird things out there so if Paul Gosar wants to fly with swords around, who cares?

We care because Paul Gosar is one Member of Congress and millions of people watched this video and the temperature in Washington is quite hot. It’s quite volatile here because many of us spent hours in a safe Attacking space as a riot Cops before we could get back on the floor and all when he has a fantasy about it behead one of my colleagues It’s not a fantasy to think that That could be a call to action from people who saw it on-line.

Gosar was radicalized in a similar way to someone radicalized by al-Qaeda or ISIS.

Rep Swalwell was right. People like Paul Gosar accepted Donald Trump like gasoline and a match. Gosar may have been on the path to radicalization before Trump emerged, but the failed former president took it to an entirely different dangerous level.

Donald Trump radicalized the Republican Party, and anyone who treats this threat as usual as politics is putting America at risk.
