For anyone who doubted Joe Biden, as he signs the largest infrastructure investment since the Eisenhower era, today is the day to admit they are wrong.

Video clip from President Biden:

Biden takes back the political message: “My fellow Americans, today I want you to know that we hear you and we see you. The law I’m about to sign is proof that despite the cynics, Democrats and Republicans can come together and produce results. “Pic.twitter.com/y4hGpyWVkg

Biden said: “My fellow Americans, today I have do you want to know, we hear you, and see you. The bill that I’m about to register for Law is proof that despite the Cynics, Democrats and Republicans can get together and deliver results. “

Today Uncle Joe – also known as the President of this United States – signed the Democratic-first bill for $ 1.2 trillion in infrastructure and jobs. And somehow President Biden, Spokesman Pelosi and Majority Leader Schumer even managed to get a lone Republican to vote yes with 19 votes in the Senate and 13 Republicans in the House of Representatives, which the Democrats proposed. This achievement makes this bill an incredible achievement not only historically, but also in these times.

Spokeswoman Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) helped pull this bill across the finish line with the tenacity that led to identifying the most effective House representative in modern history.

Predictably, however, 200 House Republicans have not been able to break their party’s unlawful commitment to breaking what has motivated them to vote no on almost anything that could help the American people. Leader Kevin McCarthy is actually threatening his Republican members who voted for jobs and against potholes. Republicans even went so far as to call Democratic patriotism a “socialist wish list”. It didn’t go as they had imagined and so they quickly deleted their tweet:

House GOP deleted tweet calling infrastructure socialism

The groundbreaking, historically popular Infrastructure Bill is jam-packed with patriotic investments in our country that have long been needed and benefits for hard-working families, including creating millions of well-paid union jobs. It will modernize and improve our roads, bridges, ports, rails and supply chains, and yet the Republican leadership of the House of Representatives – who are now complaining about supply chains with a Democrat in office – call socialism.

This law will make the United States more competitive for decades.

Perhaps it is jealousy that drives McCarthy’s cynicism, after all, the Republicans promised week after week that it was an “infrastructure week” and yet it never came. Instead, we got Donald Trump to extol the virtues of household cleaners injected into our veins to fight Covid-19 and to whine daily about the meanness in the press.

Is it broadband access for tens of millions of Americans – or maybe making it more affordable and fairer, that is the Republicans’ problem? Is that … socialism? Your rural voters will be crushed.]

It could be the clean power grid or the clean water – socialism could burn there. Trying not to kill children with toxic chemicals is something (the one or two actual Democratic Socialists in Congress) seem proud of, but what do they know about the burning desires of the American people?

Maybe it’s the cost. Somebody should tell Republican Senator Rob Portman, who said, “It’s paid for. We’re doing this without raising taxes. ”Democrats say the bill will pay for itself without raising taxes, with multiple measures.

Although the fact check is arguing, it will only add to the deficit. But why do we focus on the cost – as opposed to the cost of deploying our military in Afghanistan – when our country collapses around us, bridges and dams fail?

While we can well understand Republican objections to funding drought management and forest fires, nothing says socialism but not burning the country down to punish the Libs.

But in fact, the adults are in charge now – for that short period of time before the Democrats lose the House of Representatives at halftime (unless you let all of your friends vote) and the adults do what is called … their “job”.

For anyone who writes about “Democrats in a mess” as their simple headline, every time Democrats try to do heavy lifting for the people, today is the day to admit they are wrong. This is the bill we haven’t seen since FDR. This is a bill that, although not supported by the Progressive Group, is in reality a tremendous achievement of progressive values. This is the bill that my grandfather from America, who supports the union, would have cried with pride. It is full of the best kind of patriotism that actually makes this country a better country and makes better life for the people who live in it.

This is a day to be very proud of this President and to take a necessary break from the terror and chaos of the past five years to remember this is what voting can do. The vote did this.

You, the people, did that. Congratulations, take the win.
