Halo Infinite’s multiplayer could get a surprise release on Monday

A Halo Infinite Early Access version for the multiplayer component of the game is currently heavily rumored, with several prominent leakers swearing by it, the Microsoft Store apparently leaked it, and even confusing Google as a result. Will Halo Infinite’s multiplayer surprise release on Monday?

While Halo Infinite’s single player campaign was something of a mystery, the multiplayer side has apparently evolved a lot smoother – complete with multiple public betas so players already know a lot about how it’s going to work. While the official release date for Halo Infinite is December 8th, it has been confirmed that multiplayer has long been free and separate from the main campaign.

If several leakers are correct, Microsoft may be planning an early access release for the multiplayer component on Monday as a surprise for the 20th anniversary of Xbox and Halo: Combat Evolved. For example, YouTuber Nate The Hate boasted, “I can independently confirm and tell you today that Halo Infinite multiplayer will be available on Monday November 15th.”

HaloDotAPI announced that the Heroes of Reach event, which kicks off the Halo Infinite Season 1 Battle Pass, will be available on that date. Even Google was puzzled for a moment and showed a countdown timer for Monday rather than December 8th – yes – November 15th, specifically for 6:00 p.m. – at the same time GMT that Xbox is hosting a celebration.

It certainly doesn’t take long to find out if this rumor is true. So check back in 48 hours to see if Halo fans are partying and Krispy Kreme was right all along. If not, December 8th is only a few weeks away.
