League of Legends Arcane Reviews – our summary of the results

League of Legends’ first animated series, Arcane, has finally hit Netflix after it was announced over two years ago. While only the first three episodes are out, fans and critics alike seem to be in love with the show, and it’s currently on a near-perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes.

League of Legends: Arcane will be released in three “acts” during November, with the first three episodes now on Netflix and the following six episodes over the next two weeks. This is a big deal for developer Riot Games, who has arranged various cross-game celebrations – and even went so far as to partner with a beauty outlet.

The publisher must be relieved, because the first reviews from fans and critics of the first episodes of Arcane were generally laudable. This episode-praising thread on Reddit has 10.8k upvotes and over a thousand comments at the time of writing, with the first commenter calling it “truly groundbreaking.”

Critics were also very commendable, calling it “a beautiful and entertaining show that both adds to the world that longtime League of Legends fans love without leaving newbies too far behind.” Arcane currently has a near-perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes, with 100% from critics and 98% from the audience.

The next three episodes of Arcane will be released on November 13th, with the final three coming to Netflix a week later on November 20th. Until then, various celebrations will be held, including Arcane Skins, which can be earned in League of Legends itself until Jinx is available in Fortnight.
