Euro Truck Simulator 2 is next moving to Russia and the developers at SCS Software have already given us a nice slice of digital tourism with a look at the churches that will appear in the Heart of Russia DLC. While the religious experience is beautiful, the latest preview gets even more elemental with a glimpse of the land’s waters.

The wet bodies represented in the Euro Truck Simulator 2 DLC include the Volga and Oka rivers. We will also see the Wyshnevolotsk Reservoir, which, as the developers explain, “has a history that goes back to Peter I and has important social value due to its fishing and hydropower production”.

However, the developers are taking a little creative liberties with the Svir River. “Although this ferry is not used for trucks in real life, we thought it would be a good idea to transport trucks because of the map layout and to improve the gaming experience a bit.”

There’s no release date for the Heart of Russia DLC yet, but who needs dates when you have pretty rivers? Please visit the official website for more screenshots.

Update 1.42 recently went live for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator and brings revised force feedback and multiplayer mod support for both truck games.
