QAnon cult members flocked to the site of JFK’s murder in Dallas believing that JFK Jr. would return as Trump’s running mate in 2024.
The Rolling Stone captured the conspiracy:
The renaissance of JFK Jr. is an increasingly popular cornerstone of the QAnon conspiracy theory, although historically it was a marginal phenomenon of the movement. The theory posits that JFK Jr. has been in hiding for years and will eventually turn out to be Trump’s runner-up for the 2024 election, a belief stemming from a poster claiming to be JFK Jr. that became an 8chan- Thread contributed.
Some proponents of the theory also believe Vincent Fusca, a former sales manager in Pittsburgh, secretly disguises JFK Jr., even though Fusca is inches shorter (and frankly, significantly less handsome) than John F. Kennedy Jr.’s QAnon influencer Juan O. Savin was also “suspected” to be JFK Jr. in “disguise”. Platforms like Etsy and Amazon have also been called on to sell merch to promote the idea that JFK Jr. is still alive and will return as Trump’s vice president, and many supporters of the Dealey Plaza event have been photographed with such merch.
JFK Jr. remains deceased and refuses to join Trump’s ticket
QAnon cultists are easy to make fun of, but there is one important point that needs to be taken seriously. These people get to vote, and their vote counts as much as yours. While it is easy to ridicule them, these are the people who also have a say in who runs the country.
The QAnon cult won’t go away after Trump’s defeat. If anything, they have become more radical after their king was thrown from his throne by Joe Biden.
These people are a dangerous threat to the nation who are completely unrealistic. There can be no bipartisan consensus in American politics when one party has a cult that believes a Trump / Zombie John F. Kennedy Jr. ticket could happen.
America is not just made up of two different countries. It’ll be two different planets.
