The US gymnast Simone Biles has announced that she is in contact with Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton and hopes to see him at races in the future

Biles revealed all about her friendship with Hamilton during an Instagram Live. The couple met at an after party for the Met Gala last month and it appears they are still in touch.

When asked if she’d seen F1, Biles said she didn’t, but she hoped to catch Hamilton in a race soon.

“Lewis is great and I want to go to one of his races,” she said. “Well, I talked to him about it.

“I really wanted to go to the one in Austin [US Grand Prix], but unfortunately I’m on tour. But I wish I could go to one of his races. “

The four-time Olympic champion even admitted to asking Hamilton about his racing schedule.

“I told him to send his schedule so we could see the next one,” Biles said. “I mean, obviously they’re all over the world, so I have to go on a trip.”

The rest of the F1 races this year will be held in Mexico, Brazil, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi. Biles could be a special guest in one of these places.

The Briton Hamilton is currently second in the F1 standings, 12 points behind his Dutch rival Max Verstappen. Hamilton is aiming for an eighth record driver world championship.

Given that he’s one of the greatest in his sport of all time, it’s no surprise that Hamilton is a friend of Biles. With a total of 32 Olympic and World Cup medals, the 24-year-old is the most highly decorated gymnast in history.

Biles is also known and respected for speaking openly about her struggles with mental health. The star was supposed to expand her collection of Olympic gold medals in Tokyo 2020 but withdrew from a number of events.

She cited a case of “twisties,” a mental block that gymnasts sometimes suffered, but bravely returned to competition to win an Olympic bronze medal in the balance beam.

Biles, now performing on the Gold Over America Tour, announced that she “was still scared of doing gymnastics.”

“It’s really crazy to do something I’ve always done and just not be able to do it because I love the sport so much,” she said.

“It’s hard. I’m sorry. And I don’t think people understand the extent of what I’m going through, but for so many years that I’ve been through everything I’ve been through, I’m proud of myself . “
