We survived another week, well done everyone! There was a lot of news this week, with one of the slightly disappointing stories being the allegations of bad management practices at Metroid Dread developer MercurySteam, but as more good news we also had the arrival of Sora in Smash, we have confirmed that Crysis Remastered Trilogy this actually ran on Switch, Nintendo gave us Vampire Waluigi, and GTA trilogy was dated and detailed for Switch. However, in slightly disappointing news, Advance Wars 1 + 2: Re-Boot Camp was postponed to spring 2022.

After all of this, it’s time to relax and discuss our weekend fixtures. Some members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to read our posts and then contribute with your own through our comments section. Enjoy!

I went through Metroid Dread for a second playthrough and tried to hit it “quick” for additional unlocks. I’m not a speedrunner, but I enjoyed an action-oriented and more direct run that is almost there. I’m also tempted to grab some retro goodies at the Capcom Arcade Stadium as they can now be bought individually, and I restarted Hollow Knight all over again with the goal of actually finishing it.

I’ve played elsewhere Mass Effect Legendary Edition, this is the first time I’ve played the games. The first is a bit choppy (as various reviews suggested), but I’m excited to see why the trilogy of games (especially the second) has gotten so much talk over the years.

Hello. This weekend, after hammering Metroid Dread for a full two weeks, I’m going to change things and get stuck at Disco Elysium: The Final Cut, as well as trying to make a little more progress in Corey Martin’s Bonfire Peaks, an excellent indie puzzle Game you really need to try.

Disco Elysium is for sure one of my favorite games of the last few years and I am really impressed with the switch port so far. Yes, there are a few long load times, but this incredible RPG is well worth playing on the go.

Elsewhere, I also got the Aryton Senna DLC for Horizon Chase Turbo, a racer that looks absolutely stunning on the OLED switch and is just a really smooth and heartfelt tribute to the legendary driver from the game’s Brazilian developers. Have a good weekend!

Hello folks! With everyone talking about Animal Crossing: New Horizons all of a sudden, I’ve decided to go back to my island and see what’s what. The only problem is I forgot I started from scratch a few months ago so I’m still at the very beginning of the game with just a tent and lantern to call my own!

Elsewhere I’ve decided to go back to the world of. to jump Dying light on Series X before the sequel is released. It’s a blast; such a well realized world. All the best!

My mission at ZDR is over, so now I have a great emptiness in my life. Hopefully it won’t take Nintendo two more decades to deliver more adventures from Samus Aran in their 2D projects. I’m still playing through that Horizon Chase Turbo – Senna Forever Expansion has never been a better time to get back to the game than now. Career mode is quite a challenge and worth investing in, but some of these racing goals are tough to achieve.

Is movie of the decade DUNE part one. I would rather say that I would play a DUNE Play Switch this weekend, but … there isn’t one. No, Fourteen days does not count!

I firmly intend to keep sticking with Metroid Dread this weekend. I just beat Kraid and am amazed at how fluid the game feels compared to previous games in the series. I really feel like it might be difficult to come back after sliding around on ZDR. I also really enjoyed Tetris Effect: Connected and also made my way through the surprisingly touching LEGO Builder’s Journey.

Additionally, I bought Hob for peanuts from the eShop last week, so I’d like to investigate when I have the time. I have to admit, however, that I just happened to be browsing through some of my installed games and launching them, so be sure to check them out on the Switch OLED. They are all so purdy.

As always, thanks for reading! Leave us a comment below with your weekend fixtures!
