When Jen Psaki was asked if Biden might regret not hiding documents from the 1/6 Committee, she reminded America that Biden will not overthrow the government.

Psaki was asked if Biden will regret not invoking Trump’s boardroom privilege, and she replied:
I can assure you that the President has no intention of waging an uprising in the capital of our nation.
We talked about that last week. It is important for people to understand and remember that January 6th was an incredibly dark day. One of the darkest days in our democracy. It was a riot in the capital of our nation. What we’re talking about is getting to the bottom of it.
Shouldn’t everyone want to get to the bottom of this? Democrats, Republicans, are people without any political affiliation. I will reiterate that we will evaluate and review the process, documents and all efforts to exercise executive privileges on a case-by-case basis as is standard. And we will keep you informed as these processes progress.
And we will continue to judge on a case-by-case basis for executive privileges on other matters, as every White House has in the past. But I think when you look back on previous presidents, Democratic and Republican, there is no real precedent for what we are talking about with the special committee. And what they’re trying to get to the bottom of. And the uniqueness of it, I think, is an important context.
Presidents who try to overthrow the government receive no help with executive privileges.
Psaki is right. The attempted overthrow of the government is an isolated incident. The problem is, as usual, the media equates the 1/6 attack with politics. The question itself does not distinguish between a standard Congressional inquiry and an insurrection.
Psaki is right. Our democracy is at stake and Biden is placing our country ahead of executive political power.
