Donald Trump has one of his favorite goals – the former president has filed a $ 100 million lawsuit against the New York Times and his niece Mary Trump.
It’s about a story the Gray Lady told about his taxes in 2018 and Mary Trump’s role in allegedly trying to get information for the newspaper.

What the suit claims
The lawsuit alleges in part:
“The defendants carried out an insidious conspiracy to obtain confidential and highly sensitive documents which they exploited to their own advantage and used as a means to falsely legitimize their published works. The actions of the defendants were motivated by a personal campaign of revenge and their desire for fame, notoriety, recognition and financial happiness and should further advance their political agenda. “
The defendants in the lawsuit are three New York Times reporters, David Barstow, Susanne Craig and Russ Büttner, who the former President’s lawsuit alleges are “in the middle of an extensive crusade to obtain confidential tax records.”
The president’s niece, Mary Trump, is accused of “smuggling the documents out of her law firm and handing them to Barstow, Craig and Büttner.”

Mary Trump’s track record
Mary Trump has long seemed to have had some kind of vengeance against her uncle and his family. She has gone to various liberal media outlets to devastate the former president and his family.
When MSNBC far-left commentator Joy Reid asked her earlier last month if she thought Donald Trump had turned the GOP into a “fascist” party, she said, “There’s no doubt about it.”
She has claimed that Republicans will only pass electoral laws to re-elect Donald Trump in 2024. Regarding the 2020 election results, she said: “He doesn’t need someone to convince him that he has won. He had to see for himself because he was beaten so badly. He was so humiliated that it couldn’t withstand. “
Nobody in Donald Trump’s family is immune to Mary Trump throwing them under the bus. She also stated in August that her cousins Ivanka and Don Jr. “do not have the same sympathy as their father” and that they “do not have enough charisma to get in touch with the Republicans”.
Back in February, Mary Trump admitted on a podcast that she was the source for the 2018 tax history and also said, “Yeah, um, I’m really proud of that …” But she also wasted no time painting herself as a victim by vengeful family members in their book “Too Much and Never Enough”.
“I didn’t quite understand how much risk I was taking. If anyone in my family found out what I was doing, there would be consequences – I knew how vengeful they were – but there was no way of knowing how serious the consequences could be. “
In response to the lawsuit, Mary Trump stated in an interview with the Daily Beast:
“I think he’s a loser and he’s going to throw whatever he can against the wall,” added, “It’s desperation. The walls close and he throws anything that sticks against the wall. As always with Donald, he’ll try to change the subject. “
About a spokeswoman Donald Trump said of the lawsuit: “More will follow, including through other people and fake news media.”
The lawsuit alleges that the newspaper persuaded Mary Trump to “smuggle data out of her law firm and turn it over to the Times” despite signing a confidentiality agreement in 2001 after settling a controversial legal battle over the will of Frederick Trump
