Swalwell told CNN’s Jim Acosta:

The police emerged in force, and they had the presence they should had on January 6th, considering what Donald Trump is was promising and I think so may have been a deterrent. Maybe Donald Trumps too Ability to inspire people may appear in his name too be fading.

But that doesn’t mean we should drop our guard. But I really feel, Jim, because the policemen who were standing Wake up there today, whoever? stood guard at the Capitol, and may have sustained injuries on 6th January. That must have triggered and traumatizing, and this vigil takes place at a time when one these people are not worth it Vigil, but two, many officers haven’t even returned yet the capital from the injuries They suffered. So it would be like having one September 11th vigil for the Hijacker.

Rep. Swalwell may be right. There will be some decrease in Trump’s ability to incite. He no longer has his Twitter platform and the White House to get his message across. Swalwell was also right that we cannot slack off. Domestic terrorists only need to succeed once, but the American people must be vigilant at all times.

Trump may be on the downside, but he and his radicalized supporters pose the greatest terrorist threat in the country to which the nation faces.
