It took Tatooine and Coruscant a year to build in Minecraft, and the entire Star Wars galaxy is next

Minecraft has proven to be a great outlet for creative gamers and is home to some of the most ambitious creations the gaming community has ever undertaken. But once people start building the entire earth in Minecraft, what else could it beat? How about a whole galaxy? The entire Star Wars galaxy to be precise.

Player vistachess has spent the last year building Tatooine and Coruscant to bring the entire Star Wars galaxy into one open world adventure map. The map was created with a combination of WorldPainter and WorldEdit, as vistachess explains on Reddit, and you can watch the process in a making-of video on YouTube.

Building the entire Star Wars galaxy sounds incredibly ambitious, but even if this project ended now, the replicas of Tatooine and Coruscant are already amazing in scope and detail. Tatooine has everything from all of Mos Eisley to the most obscure secluded homesteads, and the vast city set Coruscant has everything from the Senate building to the Dex diner and countless small buildings in between.

You can download the map yourself if you’re using Minecraft 1.12.2, or just check out the video below in more detail.
