Ladies and gentlemen, the weekend! When you hear this you will know where it came from and who said it. Daniel Craig’s time on Saturday Night Live burned into his fans’ memories after a meme was inspired by it. Back in March 2020, the No Time to Die actor hosted his second SNL after performing for the first time in 2012.

While hosting last year, The Weeknd came as a guest vocalist and was introduced by the actor. Craig’s introduction to the singer at SNL immediately went viral and became a meme. However, regardless of how famous it got, the meme never reached the actor, who recently revealed that he recently became aware of it.

As reported by the New York Times, Daniel Craig revealed that the meme came as a complete surprise to him. The actor talked about the time he was hosting SNL. Before discussing the meme, he noted that the episode aired right before the COVID-19 pandemic that caused production to stop. “We left town on March 8th,” said the actor. “I did ‘SNL’ the night before, which was really surreal.”

Daniel Craig added, “It’s amazing. I don’t know what that is, but thank you. That’s nice “after getting to know the viral meme. He added, “I suppose I would have to have social media to know what this is about.” The actor has revealed that he has never used social media. The forty-fifth season of Saturday Night Live stopped in March 2020. The episode of the Knives Out actor was the final personal production until it resumed seven months later.

Among other things, Daniel Craig made headlines for his last James Bond film No Time to Die. It premiered this week and was one last hurray for the actor who first played the role of 007 in Casino Royale. Since then, there has been debate about who the next Bond will be, with many actors like Henry Cavill, Tom Hardy and Christian Bale as possibilities.
