Intel Core i9-12900K benchmark results beat AMD’s top gaming CPUs handy

All eyes are on Intel as the release of its upcoming 12. However, a recent Ashes of the Singularity benchmark released by Benchleaks could suggest that the blue team has one of the best gaming CPUs out there with the Intel Core i9-12900K.

While it initially seems like the i9-12900K’s score of 14,000 leaves the competition in the dust, with AMD’s Ryzen 9 5950X’s highest benchmark score at 10,100, there are some disclaimers that come with the Ashes of the Singularity analysis -Benchmarks are connected.

None of the benchmarks provides information on the clock rate of the CPUs or GPUs used, so it is not possible to determine to what extent these parts may have been overclocked. However, the benchmark confirms that the i9-12900K has 24 threads to its hybrid cores.

It won’t be long before Alder Lake’s heavily rumored release date hits October 27th. October 27th and 28th. As likely as it seems, this is Alder Lake’s official major reveal that has yet to be confirmed.

After all, Intel has a lot to do in its labs, such as its upcoming discrete Xe HPG graphics cards, codenamed Alchemist. After another leaked benchmark, however, doubts about the competitiveness of the architecture to the Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070 have recently surfaced. However, as the availability and price of graphics cards appear to be deteriorating, Intel graphics cards can appeal to aspiring rig builders because of their availability on digital shelves and store shelves.
