SportsGrid Network will air on September 1st on nine digital subchannels of Nexstar
exstar Media and SportsGrid have signed a multi-year agreement to launch the “SportsGrid Network”, the “first diginet for sports betting and fantasy sports” in the USA, announced both companies on Wednesday.
The new network is expected to offer a daily program of programming around the clock, which will be distributed over nine digital sub-channels that are licensed to Nexstar in the major US markets: San Francisco, Washington, DC, Tampa, Portland, Nashville, Norfolk, Grand Rapids, Knoxville and Des Moines, from September 1st.
SportsGrid is currently “the first and only” 24-hour sports betting and fantasy sports programming service in the country, with content distributed via radio and cable television, streaming platforms, mobile devices, and the Internet. The live programming comes from television production facilities adjacent to Madison Square Garden in New York City and the SG Studios & Production Hub in New Jersey.
The new network, in partnership with Nexstar, will be available on recently released digital sub-channels licensed to the media company and is expected to offer 18 hours of exclusive live original programming moderated by a team of “on-air personalities, sports and gambling experts and guest contributions”, it says in a press release.
