Sims 4 Streamer creates Stardew Valley thanks to Cottage Living

Popular The Sims and Stardew Valley streamer DrGluon combines his two favorite games. He’s recreating Stardew Valley in The Sims 4, thanks to the recently released Cottage Living expansion, thanks to the DLC that is the closest thing to the popular Farm Life game so far.

DrGluon has tried playing The Sims 4 like Stardew Valley several times in the past, but the release of The Sims 4: Cottage Living expansion in July allowed the streamer to truly make their “Simdew Valley” come true. DrGluon streamed his attempts on his Twitch channel and posted the results on YouTube.

His most recent goals so far have been to start a small village community, grow some plants with his own Avatar Sim in-game, run errands for the other villagers, and get items for their community center. His main goal was to get some animals for his farm, especially some cows, chickens and llamas. “We will enjoy our life to the full!” the YouTube description says.

DrGluon has already documented his efforts to get animals on his Twitter, notably discovering that Cottage Living’s cows can both swim and climb Skyrim-style mountains. His latest video, released yesterday, even features replicas of famous Stardew Valley residents – like Marnie and Mayor Lewis.

In addition to this, DrGluon is also trying a challenge to get 100 babies over 100 years old into the game and also hosted a Cottage Living Let’s Play with a family of giant chickens. As for The Sims 4: Cottage Living itself, a recent patch finally made it possible for players to create natural pools of water – with additional alligators, of course.
