Here are some of the highlights of Friday morning US coverage. All times are east.

SOCCER The women’s teams are approaching the medal battle with the quarter-finals. The games begin at 4 a.m. with Canada versus Brazil on NBC Sports. The UK plays Australia at 5am on NBCOlympics.com. It’s Sweden versus Japan at 6 a.m. on Universo. The US will play NBC Sports against the Netherlands at 7 a.m. Americans must win to keep their medal hopes alive.

RUGBY The women’s quarter-finals will be streamed live from Tokyo Stadium at 4:30 am on the USA Network.

TO BATHE Simone Manuel swims the 50-yard freestyle in a series of heats, including the men’s 1,500-yard freestyle, beginning at 6 a.m. on the USA Network.

CANOE / KAYAK ABC Sport broadcasts the slalom final in the men’s kayak at 6 a.m.

BASEBALL The United States plays Israel at 6 a.m. on NBCOlympics.com. NBC Sports will air a rerun at 10:30 a.m.

TABLE TENNIS At 7 a.m. Yun-Ju Lin from Taipei and Dimitrij Ovtcharov from Germany play in the bronze medal game on NBCOlympics.com. At 8:15 am, the two Chinese teammates Zhendong Fan and Long Ma will be playing for the gold medal on the USA Network.

FENCING The men’s team’s epee finale will air on NBCOlympics.com at 5:30 am for bronze and 6:30 am for gold.
