Unfortunately for Elizabeth Gillies, she had to answer thanks, next to Ariana Grande‘s wedding invitation.
Unlike most of us, she knew her friend was getting married Dalton Gomez during an intimate ceremony in May, but the pandemic prevented them from attending, especially given the tight security on most television and movie sets. “I couldn’t get off work to go to her wedding,” the actress said on the July 21 episode of “See What Happens Live to Andy Cohen,” “because we have to fly for seven days.”
“So not only could I not tell anyone, but I couldn’t even ask for a day off, and I couldn’t get off,” continued Elizabeth, who starred with Ariana in Nickelodeon’s Victorious. “So … I would have been there!”
If it hadn’t been for her work schedule, it’s definitely not hard to believe that Elizabeth would have had a front row seat at the event. “She’s like blood to me, she’s like my sister,” she told People in 2015. “So if we don’t have a massive argument, nothing will happen there.”
