Sphere is a sci-fi city building in a floating bubble

City planners have moved beyond mundane cities into settings like a winter apocalypse or the back of a giant monster, and now Sphere – Flying Cities will push the genre to the limits of a floating bubble. The post-apocalyptic management game will hit Steam Early Access this fall with a mix of city building and space-bound survival.

Sphere (unrelated to the 1987 Michael Crichton novel or 1998 film) puts you in charge of colonizing the ruined remains of the moon, which was destroyed by an asteroid. To do this, you need to take care of an anti-gravity device and spherical deflector shield to protect your citizens from impending doom.

While fending off death in the void of space, you must also attend to the everyday needs of your citizens, including shelter, food, and medical care. In a system reminiscent of Frostpunk, you send out drones to scout distant places for new resources and distant survivors.
