Today was a bad day for the Trump organization. This morning Allen Weisselberg, the company’s CFO, made himself government agency. And New York prosecutors hope that longtime money man will eventually ambush Donald Trump.
Ayman Mohyeldin and Ari Melber spoke this afternoon about the allegations made against the company and Weisselberg. And, according to Melber, the sheer level of charges is bad news for Trump.
Mohyeldin asked the host and the lawyer: “What have you noticed so far, what you have been able to collect so far? “
“You threw the kitchen sink at the Trump Organization and Allen Weisselberg, ”Melber replied. “This is very bad news for the Trump organization because the prosecution has taken an aggressive tact in indicting the entire Trump organization on the payroll company and others.”
The host continued: “So if you were the company hoping to attribute this to the employee or get out of it as far as the prosecutor goes, you play over there – they are chasing the whole company. “
“Highlight number two, there are 15 counts here, ”concluded Melber. “Now we have 15 cases including theft, tax fraud, false information, submission of false documents, falsification of business documents. They are taking what the prosecution argues as a conspiracy to intentionally and habitually defraud the government, steal money, and pay people off the books. That is the language of the indictment. They claim that it took 15 years. “

It has been Trump’s MO for many years to drop others for him. If Melber is right, the prosecutors won’t let him do it this time.
