A skyscraper collapsed in Miami, Florida last week. The death toll in the tragedy is not yet known as bodies are still being recovered. President Joe Biden offered assistance to the state and those affected almost immediately.
However, Fox News was quick to decide that the incident was a political matter. On Monday, Tomi Lahren declared the tragedy a “shining moment” for Florida’s GOP Governor Ron DeSantis. And on Tuesday afternoon, Harris Faulkner claimed the incident was “God’s plan”.
Somehow the Fox host linked the tragedy with calls from the Democrats to cut police funding. She said to the audience: “You can have all the rules and codes, but you have to have the enforcement behind them. And I compare that to where we are at the defund the police talk. It’s like, yes, you can have all these laws, but law enforcement without police doesn’t really count. “
Faulkner also believed that despite the devastation, survivors would be found. She continued “This is not hope against hope at every turn. That is hope, based on faith, based on facts. “
Former press spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany also took part in the segment. She agreed that there were still survivors.
Faulkner has closed the segment, “You just don’t know God’s plan. “
