Donald Trump Jr. is mocked over a bizarre video mocking President Joe Biden for providing Russia with a list of “off-limit” cyber targets that went viral on Twitter and attracted more than two million views .

In the video, which was originally posted on Rumble, an online platform frequented by Trump supporters, a few days after Mr Biden met with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Geneva, Mr Trump Jr aims the list at the Kremlin.

“I don’t think Joe is smart enough to say, ‘Hey, let’s get them off the track – uh, don’t hack the McDonald’s in DC,'” says Trump Jr.

“I mean, why doesn’t he just give Putin the keys to nuclear football?

“What’s the list? Don’t chop one – Joe’s basement. Second – Hunter’s stores. Three – Hunter’s laptop, ”he says, referring to the president’s son, Hunter Biden.

While the video was released earlier this month, it has only gone viral in the past few days. A 29-second clip shared on Twitter attracted more than 2.3 million views.

Hundreds of people also shared the video, with many talking about Mr. Trump Jr.

“It’s a confused brain,” claimed one social media user.

Another urged Mr. Trump Jr to “seek professional help”.

Others said the video was a reason not to vote Republicans for office, writing, “These are the individual Conservatives who think they should be the next president. For the sake of our country, DO NOT VOTE GOP. “

Mr Biden has been criticized by conservatives after providing Russia with a list of 16 entities identified as “critical infrastructure”, including energy and water systems, that he believed should be “closed” to cyberattacks.

Some have suggested that the list send the message that anything that deviates from this list could now be considered a fair target.

It comes after Washington imposed sanctions on Moscow following the SolarWinds attack linked to Russian foreign intelligence service SVR and after the US accused Russia of meddling in the 2020 elections. Moscow rejects both allegations.

During his meeting with Mr Putin, Mr Biden warned his Russian counterpart about attacks on key infrastructure.

He promised that the US would respond with its own cyber capabilities if the Kremlin ignored the request.
