The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Season Pass will be discounted by 25% on the same day the first DLC launches

Games go up for sale in a flash these days, and people are always a little too quick to point out a quick discount as a sign of the failure of a particular Triple-A version. But the fact that the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Season Pass is on sale now, on the day the very first expansion of this pass kicks off, must sting a bit for early adopters.

Yes, if you go to the Ubisoft Store now you can purchase the PC Valhalla Season Pass for $ 29.99, 25% off the regular price of $ 39.99. While the same discount isn’t available for the console versions of the game, the Gold and Ultimate Editions of Valhalla that include the Season Pass are also being discounted significantly on Xbox.

While the season pass technically gave you access to a small Beowulf-themed quest, this was only a bonus for early adopters. Today’s Wrath of Druids launch is one of the reasons you actually wanted to prepay for the Season Pass, but if you’d waited just a few hours after it launched you could have got it even cheaper.

Perhaps this is all part of a long game by Ubisoft to get people using Ubisoft Plus to access this type of DLC instead of buying custom season tickets. (This is a stupid, mostly joking, conspiracy theory.)

Late users receive the following offers: Get Assassin’s Creed Valhalla here

Either way, Wrath of the Druids is pretty good, but this might encourage you not to invest in DLC early on. For me, I still have half the 100-plus hour runtime of the open world game to get through.
