NIS America announced the release of The Caligula Effect 2 in North America this fall. Not only will the game be launched digitally, but a physical release with limited items has also been announced.
The Caligula Effect 2 is the sequel to the first game, but has a similar plot. A virtual doll called Regret created the world of Redo, where people can be saved from their former regrets. When humans enter the world of Redo, they are locked inside the simulation.

The Caligula Effect was originally published by NIS America in March 2019 for PC, Playstation 4 and Nintendo Counter. The series was so popular that an animated adaptation was released a few months after it was released in Japan.
