Chromatic Games has confirmed the first rollout of Dungeon Defenders: Awakened on Consoles. The game will start on the first Xbox One and Xbox Series X in mid-March before launch on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
Dungeon Defenders was first released on mobile devices in the early 2010s and on PC and PlayStation 3 a year later. In 2019, Chromatic Games announced Dungeon Defenders: Awakened, which was funded entirely through Kickstarter.

Dungeon Defenders: Awakened is set after the sequel to Dungeon Defenders, but with many of the qualities and gameplay that fans loved from the original. The game also saw some updates for modern devices. The game was later introduced in Steam Early Access in early 2020 before officially released in 2020.
Dungeon Defenders: Awakened is a co-op action RPG with tower defense elements. The game can be played with up to four other players. Players can enjoy looting, leveling, pet adoption, and character customization.

Players can choose from several heroes in their search for enemies invading Etheria. The characters include the squire, the huntress, the apprentice, and the monk. While these heroes are powerful on their own, players must build and use an arsenal of blockades, towers, traps and auras to protect the Eternia Crystals.
In Dungeon Defenders: Awakened, players can choose their own strategies and fighting styles. The only goal is to win.
During the battle against the hordes of enemies, players will receive large amounts of loot. There are a variety of weapons to choose from including swords, crossbows, staves, polearms, axes, grenade launchers, beam swords and more.
With so many weapons, players can also choose their character’s play style and weapon. The character is fully customizable based on looks, equipment, where and how to build defenses, and more.
The game will be updated on the first day so the Xbox version will be the same as the Steam edition. This includes 15 campaign maps that are playable in seven different difficulty levels, rift and hardcore modes for more challenging and online co-op. Another Xbox patch will be released in the future with quality of life and performance improvements that are not included in the initial version or on the first update.
Although the ports have been announced for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, their release dates are not yet known. Pre-orders for the Xbox editions will open on March 3rd in the Microsoft Store.
