For the second year running, TennoCon, the event that celebrates everything Warframe related, is going digital. However, don’t fret while the flow of updates continues. Two are coming to the ninja game this spring.
In the latest Devstream, developer Digital Extremes pissed off what will appear in two updates due sometime in the spring. The first is Railjack 3.0, which promises goodies for Corpus Railjack, and the Command Intrinsic, which is coming to PC first for now. The second is Call of the Tempestarii, previously teased as “so metallic it got out of control” and brings a new Warframe Sevagoth, a new Warframe Quest and Zephyr Deluxe. This will arrive on all platforms when it comes out.
The TennoCon 2021, which gets the difficult announcement out of the way, will again take place exclusively in the live stream. Digital Extremes is using a work-from-home setup through September this year. Since TennoCon usually takes place in July, the conference will remain entirely digital. TennoCon 2020 moved to a digital setup as people around the world were stuck at home due to the ongoing pandemic. Unfortunately, that situation hasn’t changed much to accommodate large gatherings, which means another year of E3-like streams and online conferencing.
The video goes into a little bit more detail about how the ranks of Intrinsic will be rebalanced in the upcoming updates. The interior of Railjask is undergoing renovations and new game modes are coming, as well as some that are returning.
The weapons are also adapted to close combat. “We are aware of the current melee meta and are investigating changes to bring our primary and secondary weapons closer to close combat,” says the Devstream post. “Overall, the goal is not to prevent hand-to-hand combat – we have aspects of it that we want to optimize, but most of our focus is on getting weapons up to their performance level!”
