Sportradar hit the headlines last July when rumors surfaced that the global sports betting data provider was considering entering the public markets.

Texas Bill would allow pro teams to be licensed sports betting operators

A bill tabled in Texas on Tuesday would give professional sports teams the option to be licensed sports betting providers, provided voters approve a constitutional amendment in November to legalize sports betting in the state.

If passed, HB 2070, submitted by Republican MP Dan Huberty, would decriminalize sports betting and legalize it with effect from January 1, 2022. Voters can choose for or against the resolution, which reads: “The constitutional amendment that allows lawmakers to legalize sports betting in this state.”
