Paris Hilton continues to rally behind her old friend Britney Spearswhose personal turmoil is described in a shocking new documentary.
The New York Times Presents: Framing Britney Spears, published on Hulu earlier this month, documents the 39-year-old pop star’s rise, her treatment by the tabloids and paparazzi, and current life under a controversial conservatory that was implemented in 2008 after she was due Has been hospitalized for psychiatric treatment. The program includes interviews and appearances from fans and friends, including Paris.
The 40-year-old celebrity and reality star, who partied with Britney in 2006 (and said they invented the selfie together), has expressed support for the #FreeBritney movement on social media and in September last year told an interview with Radio Andy on SiriusXM that adults should be able to live their lives without being controlled. A clip was shown in the documentation. On Thursday, February 25, Paris repeated such remarks on a new episode of their new iHeartRadio podcast, This Is Paris.
“I haven’t spoken to her in a few months. I haven’t even seen the film because I was so busy,” said Paris. “But I heard it was just a really sad movie. I really feel for her because she’s such a cute girl and has such a big heart and I just can’t imagine being controlled like that. You know “If you’re an adult and you’ve worked all your life building this empire and then being treated like a kid, it’s just not fair.”
